The Arad County Cultural Center and the Munkácsy Mihály Museum in Békéscsaba have started another cross-border cooperation to promote cultural values and involve young people. The project called Sculpture and museum: creation and exhibition, or MutualTrust CasBek for short, was officially launched on February 25, 2025, and the initiative, with a budget of EUR 241,270, is implemented within the framework of the Interreg VI-A Romania-Hungary Programme. The main goal of the programme is to bring young people living on both sides of the border – from the Arad and Békéscsaba regions – closer to their common cultural heritage. During the 12-month project, participants will not only be able to visit exhibitions, but also actively participate in creative workshops. Young people will participate in joint sculpture and painting workshops, during which they will be able to learn about past and present artistic techniques while also building personal relationships with their peers from other countries.
